The Project funded by Royal Norwegian Embassy spans from 2023 to 2025 aims to cultivate a rights-based society in Kenya by establishing an environment conducive to human rights realization. The project strategically addresses barriers to information access through legal, institutional, and technological means, fostering a transparent and accountable public sphere while actively involving citizens in public affairs. Additionally, RITAI prioritizes the empowerment of Human Rights Defenders by strengthening their capacities and support systems.
The project extends its focus to duty bearers in both national and county government agencies, budget facilitators, women, youth, and marginalized groups, young activists, civil society organizations, and project beneficiaries across targeted counties. Ultimately, RITAI seeks to enhance project implementation and organizational resilience, advocating for a holistic transformation towards a more inclusive and transparent society in Kenya.
